First step of the designer is to organize a questionnaire among students to get the user's opinions. Identifying needs and demands is very important for the functionality of the project. The survey results of about 200 students showed that the biggest disadvantage is the lack of sense of belonging to the university in students and the biggest advantage is the natural ecosystem of the campus. As a result of these inputs, designer decided to use the existing natural ecosystem as a purpose to strengthen the sense of belonging.

With a concept of green campus starting to design from the larger scale some arrangements were made on the master plan of campus which will set as an example for urban design. As a green campus car entrance was banned and the designer made arrangements to support the use of electric trams and bicycles.

The river and the train line which is located perpendicular to the river divides the campus land into four parts. So the biggest challenge is to provide transportation on campus.

To reduce the energy need of the building living spaces were placed on the east-west axis in order for the building to   make maximum use of natural light. Some of the building's energy needs are met by the solar panels placed on the roof.
